The Kent County Office of Community Corrections department is responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to sentenced felony offenders, jail utilization and program performance. Specifically Kent County OCC gathers data related to the following items:

The size of the sentenced felony offender population and dispositions received in Kent County and the State of Michigan.
These three tables illustrate the differences between those offenders sentenced for new felony offenses to dispositions involving prison, straight jail, a split sentence of probation and jail, or straight probation with comparisons based upon a number of selected offender characteristics.
The first of the following two charts illustrates the status at the time of their arrest for those offenders sentenced for new felony offenses and receiving prison dispositions. The second chart illustrates the prison and jail commitment rates for offenders sentenced for probation violations.
Funded by public tax dollars, Kent County Office of Community Corrections data is available to the community as a resource for data and statistical information regarding the criminal justice system in Kent County.
