At Kent County, providing quality service to our customers is our number one priority. Our priority is to provide mandated services, which may be enhanced and supplemented by additional services to improve the quality of life for all of our citizens within the constraints of sound fiscal policy.
Linda Fink is recognized as the Kent County Quality Service Employee of the 4th Quarter for helping to fulfill Kent County's mission by providing Kent County staff with outstanding quality service. The individuals who nominated Ms. Fink had this to say:
We would like to tell you about one special Kent County employee. Linda Fink from Information Technology has helped the Finance Department of the 17th Circuit with many projects over the years. She supports us in our use of the Courtview System. Recently she worked with our department to develop reports that would allow for a more efficiency surrounding the Courts efforts in submitting Writs for Garnishment to the State of Michigan. The writs allow the Court to intercept an individual's Michigan tax refund.
No matter the call for support, Linda responds in a helpful and courteous manner. It is evident that Linda wants to facilitate the work effort. She listened carefully, to the manual processes that were involved in identifying the candidates for selection. She asked questions to clarify the criteria for selection. She quickly understood the goal and came back with reports that would lesson the time commitment from staff. Because she is so knowledgeable about the software she offered up additional considerations that allowed the reports to do even more than we imagined. Linda doesn't just do her work; she does her work to make our work easier.

The hardest thing I've ever done: Going back to school mid career to move into the technology field.
Three people (living or dead) I'd invite to dinner: My parents and my husband's father, we didn't have the chance to meet him before he passed away.
You' d be surprised to learn that: I played saxophone.
The thing that I like most about working for Kent County is: The county staff and customer's I support.
