Mission Statement

The Mission of the Kent County Sheriff's Office Support Services Division is to provide logistical and technical support to all employees of the Kent County Sheriff's Office and serves the public through the operations of Records Management, Special Event Coordination, Traffic/Safety Unit, Emergency Communications Center, Training Unit, and the Community Policing Unit. We will provide our employees the best available training, education, work environment, equipment, and leadership so they may serve the citizens of Kent County to the best of their ability.

Reports to Captain Joel Roon and is responsible for Records Unit, Traffic & Safety Office, Axon Camera systems, 416 Traffic Unit, cruiser technology, CJIS compliance, TIMS, Wrecker contracts, Freedom of Information requests (FOIA), technology projects.

Reports to Captain Joel Roon and is responsible for all areas of training, Training Consortium liaison, Traffic Squad liaison, Uniform and equipment oversight, Training facilities, Use of Force review, and Special Events.

Reports to Captain Joel Roon and is tasked with managing the accreditation process for the agency, as well as similar continuous improvement processes including department inspections and policy review, revision, and implementation, and is the Mobile Field Force Commander.
